JAKE GARRATT - 'WEATHERED'
The music video for 'weathered' by Jack Garratt is relevant to our video idea as it uses an editing technique similar to what we are aiming to produce in our video. After 30 seconds the shot changes and transitions into what is meant to be footage from a camera one of the characters is holding. We want to use similar editing techniques to produce a similar effect, except instead of a video recorder the footage will be from a phone.
THE OH HELLOS - 'LIKE THE DAWN'
The Oh Hellos "Like The Dawn" has been a big part for the inspiration of the filler shots of walking around the city with the friends. The way that the video uses the light through all of the shots creates a good feeling throughout the video. Also like many of the other videos that we've seen they also slow their shots down through the video, which we would like to use in our piece.
GROUP 1 A2 - THESE STREETS, BASTILLE.
We have taken a lot of inspiration from this video in terms of our colour schemes and opening to our video. We have decided to open our video with visual effects to make Brad in black and white whilst throwing the brightly coloured powder paint over him to enhance the idea of colour. We will go on to use the colour grading effects throughout the video regularly changing characters into black and white. An example of the effect we are looking to create is on the 43rd second of the video.
