Oliver Heldens – Gecko (Origional Mix):
- The track has a fast beat to it, even though it doesn't actually have any lyrics to accompany it there would be a lot of time where the cutting rate can match the beat and this lack of lyrics could come to an advantage as many video ideas can be catered for by the video.
- The song is very upbeat and happy so it would be easy to follow the feel of the song in a music video if we were to create it.
- Only draw back is that the video is very repetitive and due to the lack of lyrics is not much of a base to work on.
Rihanna - Stay (Branchez Remix)
- The main lyric throughout "i want you to stay" allows for a love story narrative to be easily made around the lyrics.
- The remix is good because has certain parts of the song where lyrics are repeated through editing which can then be matched with the cuts to create some symbolic visuals.
- The video could be two ex lovers walking across fields whilst flashbacks of their past relationship are shown and how much they miss it is emphasised so they randomly see each other at each sides of the field and the video finishes with them connecting.
Kanye West vs The xx - Touch The Sky (Carlos Serrano Mix)
- The lyric and title to the piece "touch the sky" can be interpreted as he (Kanye) is going up in life, coming out of poverty and on to the heights of life "top of the world baby".
- This could be used in our video as we could have a man who has gone from being in extreme poverty to have the opportunity for a job up in london and the camera could follow him up in london whilst including flashbacks to his old life of being involved in crime and drugs.
- The video has a range of lyrics which would make for easy interpretation and easy to create a narrative around those.
